Busy as A Beaver!

Can you believe that it is September 8th already? Where did summer go? This was by far the best summer upstate NY has had in years. We had more days of sunshine than rain, a fairly good growing season for the crops and farmers and now we get to contend with GOLDENROD allergies! Ah mother nature how you toy with us!
Soon the leaves will light the sky in a rainbow of colors, a favorite time of year for me. HArvesting apples, fesh pumpkin homemade pies, and oh the butter squash, sccorn squash and Thanksgiving only 21/2 months away!

I even started Christmas shopping this year in JUNE!~ forget about Christmas in JULY!

Monday I labored in love baking over 12 dozen cookies and cookie bars to send to my son Joey A US marine serving in Afghanistan. Please visit my other blog Cans for Cookies US Troops to see how you can join our charity event and help support our troops serving so others and you may live free!

I also am nearly finished with a long over due swap with my new friend Melinda. I am so excited how everything came out... waiting for the craft glue to dry and then shipping it to her! I'll post pictures after she receives the package! Melinda thank you for understanding my lateness, it has been a summer of hospital stays and illnesses but I will survivie!

Well, off to the races so to speak, read, write, research, lesson plans, grade exams, and teach 3 courses at college, maybe squeeze in a nail appointment and browse for ideas for this SWAP!
