Here I am Lord...

         Here I am Lord...

I will stand by my God and know that He loves me,
I will weep only tears of joy and happiness for I know
In God I am not alone and should have no fears.
Today I start fresh in my faith to Thee O Lord.

Will you stand by me God and help me feel Your love?
Can I cross over the bridge of troubling waters
For the last time, no longer drowning in tear-filled
Pools of sadness and despair, will You show me Your way?

I read the Psalms and they soothe my troubled soul -
I listen to the morning doves sing their songs of praise,
I see the morning dawn with spectacular hues of pinkness
I feel the warmth the golden orb sends down to blanket us each day...

Yet still I cannot find my way to You Oh God, and so I ask
You, bent on my knees, and release my prayer once more -
Help me Lord, guide me to Your shining rays of life,
Engulf me with Thy loving hands and hold fast to my heart...

By Your design I am alive, and I wait to discern the purpose
You have enstore for my humbled soul, here I am Lord,
Shape me, mold me, bend me to Thy way and rejoice,
For in this early pre-dawn hours I am ready to do Thy will.

The gentle wind floats across the lake outside my window,
And although yesterday a door was closed to me, today
I feel renewed, surrounded in a glorious sea of divine love,
And thank you for rescuing me once more, as I let go.

  4. Beautiful, Valerie. Oh to remember God's truth when I'm in a storm. "In the predawn hours I am ready to do your will." Love that as I sit here in the predawn blackness.

    Blessings,
