Strawberry French Delight!

Good Morning PS bloggers.

Happy Father's Day weekend to all/ Tomorrow I will be posting a tribute to my father (he passed away this April).

I started  my day at 5AM. Woke up early, said my prayers, and read a little of poetry in bed until 5:30AM. Then I bounced  out of bed and nearly bumped my head on the doorway as I ran downstairs to greet the day. Brewed some fresh Sumatra, sliced warm banana bread and checked in with my Facebook friends.

And the fun begins. having an action packed day today. At the car dealers by 8AM and dropped off my Honda Civic for repairs, it is being cranky and doesn't want  to shift out of park.

Off to WalMart to buy last minute ingredients to bake and make my Strawberry French Delight, and then go to a barbecue later today at our neighbors' condo.

I had a little helper in the kitchen, here she is...
I found this adorable little musical teddy bear, who actually is very musical and dances to "Bring Us Some Figgy Pudding" at a thrift store near Cooperstown, NY a few years ago. She is an antique. I just love her pink cheeks!

Now, the teddy bear has a friend Miss Piggy, who I found at the same thrift store, how cute is that? She carries a burlap shopping bag that says "SOOEY!"

This Strawberry French Delight takes about 2 hours to bake and make, then it chills for at least 2 hours before serving! It makes quite a glamorous presentation if you use a see through glass dish. I used this fluted PINK glass piece, I also found at you got it a thrift store in upstate NY in the Mohawk Valley Region.

Here are all the ingredients laid out and ready to go. I find getting everything in place ahead of time makes it go a lot faster and neater!
Miss Teddy Bear says to be sure to use JELLO brand French Vanilla pudding!
First layer done, so you can see what it looks like and how BIG my fancy bowl is!
All layering done, and now I topped it with just blended Cool Whip!
Voila! Layer strawberry slices across the top; sprinkle with multi-colored pink and white sprinkles!

A real beautiful presentation wouldn't you agree?

Here is my finished product Strawberry French Delight!

1 box Jello French Vanilla Pudding
1 quart fresh strawberries (slice fresh strawberries thinly)
1 box Betty Crocker Supreme Moist French Vanilla Cake mix
2 16 ounce frozen Cool Whip (I used Great Value from WalMart) thawed
3 large fresh eggs
1/2 cup Wesson Oil
1 cup (scant) low-fat milk or I used Silk Vanilla Soy
1/8/cup multi color sprinkles
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease 2 9"layer cake pans
Mix cake mix according to box directions
Bake cake 24-29 minutes
Cool 10 minutes then invert each layer unto wax paper
(the second layer you will freeze to use another time)
Mix pudding with scant 1 cup milk, only until blended
Spoon in one full container of thawed Cool Whip
Blend gently on low for  30 seconds
Slice cake layer into 8 equal pie slices
Slice each slice from point to round edge into thin pieces
Spoon one ladle full of pudding into bottom of VERY LARGE bowl
Layer with strawberry slices
Next layer with cake pieces
Spoon one more ladles full of pudding spread over layer
Repeat as above until all pudding mixture and  cake slices are used
Spread final top layer with Cool Whip only (not the pudding mix)
Garnish with more slices of fresh strawberry slices
Sprinkle with multi color sprinkles
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Enjoy!

Here are a few more pinks for the day!

My favorite coffee cup, a delicate piece trimmed with 14 karat gold, porcelain and the most daintiest of flowers hued with PINKS, and blues. P.S. I found this at another thrift store and only paid $2.00!

This adorable piece is a piggy bank and I keep it on my kitchen counter to throw all the spare change in. My 2 stepdaughters and I use it to have our girls night out! Yep found for .25 cents at a thrift store... and it's PINK!

Well, that's about it. I have to be off to the dance recital and hubby fell asleep watching TV.
Be sure to link up with Bev over at How Sweet The Sound.
                                                           Sending you Pink HUGS!
I will find time throughout the week to stop by and visit!
